Character interaction? Character ignoring more like! It's the odd duck in this series. It's the little child no one wants to play with but acknowledges it once in a while, you know kind of like my social life growing up. **Sobs**
But however, a lot of people on this wiki believe that character development comes from character interaction, which is true, but it doesn't rely on it solely. A table doesn't rely solely on one leg, but all four. Obviously. It's a horrid table otherwise. Character interaction is sort of the main part of character development in everyone's mind, but there is a major factor that everyone seems to ignore about character development: the environment and situations.
See character interaction totally works, I'm not sayin…Read more >
As another season of Total Drama passes us by like a flirtatious courtesan who is a massive tease that we think is going to provide all the crazy unspeakables that we dream of but shows us but a fleeting glance at her ankles before running off to her bubble bath I would like to take some time to review this season and give Total Drama a report grade.
Consistency: This was a running theme in the season, development made in one episode was continuosly dropped and any effort to actually drama was like watching a les miserable puppet show run by Short Bus Theatre, and the characters had as much depth as an ant's grave. With Courtney and Gwens story just dropped in episode 11 and Duncan and Mike's conflict just dropped down the toilet…Read more >
You ever have the feeling that while giving a presentation you have a good idea and can present it thoroughly but right when you're halfway through it you realize your ending doesn't have enough strength as the beginning or middle? Like a train whose later cars are made out of paper mache and potato salad? That's pretty much what The Final Wreckening is like, a finale with a decent opening that eventually degrades into sloppy mushy crap, pretty much how TDAS' writers must feel about their careers. (OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH)
The episode started out strong, no doubt, with Zoey looking over the computer and being concerned and Mal smacktalking Zoey while Mike and his other personalities get to the tower. And then they get the weapons a…Read more >
First off, I just want to let you know that I probably will be making a new blog post every monday or sunday (sometimes there will be two weeks in between them because there isn't enough stuff to talk about) unless I get really excited about something (idea, issue, etc.) and am afraid I will pop with happiness like an overstuffed pinata if I don't throw it out there real quick. I will do episode reviews, character reviews, ideas, predictions, things I would like to see, scholarly articles and other things that pop into my brain as a subject of this splatter that I call an online journal.
Anyway, lets get into it.
I am a gamer. Not Sam level but I like playing them. And I'm not a Call of Shooty or Twattlefield player that has absolutely no id…Read more >
Hey so this is my online journal (I'm not going to use "blog" because it sounds like a pile of mucus that communicates through horking) and because I like sharing my literary inspired opinion with whoever has the time in their fleeting lives to listen to me blab about a show that is hardly relevant. Why not join me, assuming your english book hasn't caught on fire from how steamy this opening paragraph got?
Ok, because some characters after watching this series are beginning to lose their mojo, and the new bunch of recruit don't really have any qualities that make my underpants tighter I thought I might throw my chicken into this cockfight and give you some of my idea about some new characters this show could use.
First off, let me tell you …Read more >
