-I really don't want to get into this episode heading into it. The reason is obvious: even with all the weird things going on in this show, this episode is probably one of the ones that doesn't even feel like TD at all...well TDI at least. Then again for the most part I seem to dread doing the more "animal based episodes" considering they always seem to be the worst, such as this, "Top Dog" or "Picnic at Hanging Dork". But...it would be an incomplete collection so suffer I must.

-First thing I have to say is the obvious: I think Chris still remembers the history of Canada considering what he pulled on the national symbol. But hey, they're used to doing that to beavers.

-For such a "loving" and "caring" couple, Izzy and Owen really isn't …

-Chris' line at the beginning involving "whether his contract will be given another season" does remind me that Blaineley was offered the show originally. For all we know, Chris could have declined and everyone's favorite "fake blond schemer" would be our host from the next season on...but then it's Blaineley.

-It's really hard to figure out from the start what exactly the "movie" they were trying to watch was. It did seem like a weird fusion of "Friday the 13th" (except not at a camp...since they were rented out), "Halloween" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". In other words: movies Duncan, Gwen and Izzy would love to watch over and over and that would make DJ go insane without his mama around.

-You would wish somehow that seeing how gre…

-You can obviously tell from the start of this episode that something major is going to happen between Lindsay and Heather in this episode, considering how the two of them have been getting along worse and worse since after the merge. Lindsay probably realizes it herself but still has a strange way of being loyal to someone no matter how mean they've been...like a Golden Retriever with a short-term memory of what she did this morning.

-And Geoff...well, we get he misses Bridgette but to randomly lock himself in the bathroom and sing about her...that's probably about as desperate as someone is going to get about these sorts of things. Just as long as he screws up, he'll be taken away to "wherever she is" right now...especially considering …

-It just feels really hard by this point to really take Gwen/Trent seriously. I mean, when you first see it in "The Big Sleep", it doesn't seem that bad. But then came "Phobia Factor"...and "Up the Creek"...and this episode...honestly it just feels like they want to find ways to ruin Trent just to make the two of them get separated. But then again...

-Leshawna really needed to talk to Chris about how long a prize can last, particularly one that allowed for her to have space like that trailer. I get he doesn't want her to be getting an advantage over the others but at least get it off the island first instead of blowing it up!

-For a guy from a sea-fairing province like Newfoundland, Chris is a terrible pirate. And it's not just the terr…

-Sometimes I have to wonder how or why certain campers end up together even if they can't stand one another. I can get Gwen and even Bridgette avoiding Heather altogether and Lindsay still has a tiny smidgen of trust in her, but Leshawna? You'd expect Leshawna to go as far away from her as possible! I guess it's the old "Friends Close, Enemies Closer" adage...of coruse Leshawna had a lot of other complaints in this episode.

-Obviously the males did bond over their trip but you can't really see how this time. Sure there is "something" that will further show how in a later episode but for the moment all you hear them go on about is their weekend in luxury while the girls were stuck with Chris and Chef the whole time...and that can't be go…
