Okay. There have been six or seven blogs about us admins not being responsible, or trustworthy, or some other positive adjective. The truth is... it's tiring. I know this is making me sound lazy, but, honestly, it's tiring. And recently, I've heard that the admins are being called a "clique". There is no "clique". The only reason we interact with certain users more is because they're more active IRC-wise. Other than that, there is no "clique".
Then there's this drama about Countdown, which I know very little of, since I haven't been keeping up with this season (I thought we were on Week Five...) and honestly, I'm tired of it. I voted that Countdown be renewed for an additional two seasons, but I have had it with all this drama about backstabbing and such. Here's a tip.
It's a game.
And, as some of you know, I've taken a new approach on life. Life is short. So, I've decided to just make myself happy. Because one day, I'll be 80, regretting wasted years of my life trying to endlessly please someone else, or trying to achieve an impossible dream. So, I'm going to be completely honest and not hold anything in.
There is tension within some of the admins, without a doubt. Obviously, some admins like other admins more than others. I'm not denying that at all. And, I'm actually supporting this crazy idea that I've had for a while. Staff swap.
We switch the positions of the admins with some trusted rollbacks/users for one week, just to see how it is on the other side. I know this seems barely plausible, but, I just had the idea. Us admins tell you users that we have a lot of work to do, and most don't believe us. And we think that you guys have it easy, but, it's been a while since I've been a regular user (over a year and a half, actually), and I know you guys are annoyed with all the many spam pages, non-related images, and so on.
So, this is me saying..... my side. If you don't trust the admins, I'm sorry, but, what are we supposed to do? Trust is a two-way street. If you don't trust us, we can't trust you.
