FANDOM

I've been noticing something lately, and I have to say something.

Our IRC has turned exclusive.

Yes, everyone can still come in, but many of the more regular visitors seem to have difficulty accepting them and trying to make them feel welcome.

Mostly, they're getting called a "n00b" and getting "-_-" when they don't know what's going on. Is that really fair to them? Not really.

I'm not saying that everyone does it, and I'm not saying that I haven't. I'm saying that we need to stop being so irritable over welcoming.

No one likes getting "-_-" directed at them, and to be honest, I think that should count as user harassment if directed at another user in public chat. Do you realize how rude that is?!

Basically, what I'm trying to say, is that we all need to keep how we're treating our fellow users in check. Especially the newer users that want to feel welcome. Ignoring them and sitting AFK in the IRC writing your fanfiction for three hours isn't all that welcoming.

The IRC is fun, and everyone on our wiki should be welcomed to participate in said fun.
