With enough edginess to be censored by Cartoon Network, Total Drama Island teeters on the borderline between milder Adult Swim shows and regular CN shows. With CN not caring much about the series anymore, maybe it's time to go in the Adult Swim direction. This would allow for more of that mature humor that made TDI so great, and was kinda lost in later seasons. But would Adult Swim accept the pitch? Here's why I think so. While TD's ratings may not be good enough for CN, Adult Swim has renewed Squidbillies, which got even lower ratings on its latest season. Adult Swim also recently revived Samuri Jack, which had been cancelled by CN. Being on Adult Swim doesn't mean TD has to become a carbon copy of Drawn Together. There are plenty of mild…Read more >
TD may have some hope. Me and my sister (who also watches TD) have both called the network to request a renewal. I got voicemail, but the network told her some vague but interesting stuff. She told me that when she requested and asked about renewal, the network person said "we're fans of TD and would like to see a renewal too, calls like this really help, they'll find out soon" or something like that. I'd consider that a good sign, since it means at least some network people actually care about TD, an answer is coming soonish, and they'll actually listen to feedback from fans. (416) 479-7000 is the number to call to request renewal. Corus (the company that owns Cartoon Network Canada and Teletoon) has it published on their website. If you…Read more >
It seems fans either think "TD is fine just wait" or "TD is already dead." It's only dead unless fans start contacting the network to request renewal. That means you! Calling is the best option, since they seem more responsive to calls than emails. (416) 479-7000 is the number for the company that owns CN Canada and Teletoon. I've called them and I know they'll pass feedback on to the right people.
- Give a reson why they should renew! The show left off on an unfinished note. It still has a big fandom. If they don't like RR's ratings (I'm not 100% certain that's the case) it shouldn't count against TD because they're different and spin-offs rarely do as well as originals.

There are several things about Alejandro’s “lava accident” in TDWT that don’t make sense. Why was he injured much more severely than Ezekiel, when Ezekiel was in contact with the lava for longer? Why was Alejandro only mad at Heather for causing his injuries, when the other contestants were just as responsible? Why did Alejandro consider getting Heather eliminated in TDAS adequate revenge against her, when what she supposedly did to him was much worse? Alejandro is the kind of person who won’t have had enough revenge until the victim’s life is totally ruined. All of these unexplained things could be explained by this theory.
It is obvious why Alejandro would want to make Heather look bad after Heather defeated him in the finale. Alejandro w…Read more >
Disclaimer: I recognize that Multiple Personality Disorder in the Total Drama universe was inaccurately portrayed and it is very different from real MPD. When I say Zeke has MPD I mean he has whatever unrealistic disorder Mike has which is called multiply personality disorder in the Total Drama universe.
The writers making Ezekiel go feral in TDWT was an extremely unpopular decision. I wrote this theory so that people wouldn’t have to accept Zeke’s awful fate, but could have an alternative to believe. My theory states that Ezekiel did not gradually devolve into a feral monster over the course of TDWT. Rather, Ezekiel has MPD, and has always had a wild, monstrous personality which comes out when Zeke gets angry. This could explain why Ezekie…Read more >
