Hi! Recently, a topic of originally planned contestants for TDAS was brought up again for a while. It inspired me to write a blog about how original TDAS could've looked like.

Don't confuse this blog with my "My Way" series. Although a format will be similar, it's a different kind of blog. In "My Way", I'm writing about my ideas for an elimination order, sometimes trying to repair some damage done by the real season. Here, remember it's TDAS. Original TDAS, but still TDAS. There are still going to be some problems with it. Prepare for wasted potentials, abandoned plots, and derailments!

Please remember also that this is just my opinion on how it would've looked like. Your may be different. You can always write what do you think in comments or write a blog about it.

The Cast

Let's start with the cast. Most characters remain. However, Owen, Cody, Brick, and Anne Maria were originally planned, while Gwen and Sam weren't in the season. So it looks like that:

Contestants: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Brick, Cameron, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Jo, Lightning, Lindsay, Mike, Owen, Scott, Sierra & Zoey (16)
Boys: Alejandro, Brick, Cameron, Cody, Duncan, Lightning, Mike, Owen & Scott (9)
Girls: Anne Maria, Courtney, Heather, Jo, Lindsay, Sierra & Zoey (7)
1st Gen: Alejandro, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Lindsay, Owen & Sierra (8)
2nd Gen: Anne Maria, Brick, Cameron, Jo, Lightning, Mike, Scott & Zoey (8)

As you can see, the patterns are perfectly even, except for one. This is the only season where gender ratio is that much uneven at the start. It was even worse in the later version (here I'm talking about the earliest) where Anne Maria wasn't included anymore but Gwen hasn't replaced her yet. You think that a lot of boys are going to be eliminated early to make up for it, don't you? Ha! Nope! You'll see.

Now let's talk about teams. We have more Heroes than Villains now. With no Gwen around, I guess Courtney's role as a "victim of a love triangle" wasn't counted and she was in the Vultures from the beginning. It'd also make sense for her plots that I'm gonna write about later. Out of the original contestants I think Anne Maria was considered a villain due to how she was portrayed in the Anne-Mike-Zoey love triangle. To sum up, the teams in my opinion looked like that, as in this case there's an even number of members:

Villains: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Jo, Lightning, Scott (8)
Heroes: Brick, Cameron, Cody, Lindsay, Mike, Owen, Sierra & Zoey (8)

How about switching teams? Well, I'm gonna write about this later but I can spoil you that I think Duncan and Cody (you may be surprised with this one) switched teams at some point.

The Plots

I'm gonna base my theories on this picture. It may look fake to you, but remember that it was posted by TDRoblox who's known for posting spoilers. It mentions original plots of the season, similar to the original description of Max having ability to see 3 seconds into the future. Anyway, let's start:

All Stars Cast

Original plots of the season.

  • Anne Maria - In fact, she's the only one confirmed who's not present on this photo. This means she appeared in the very earliest version only, thus didn't have much of a plot. With Vito being more of a background character, Mal being the season's main Mike's alternate personality, and being on different teams than Mike and Zoey she didn't really do much for sure. Fortunately, she's on a team with Jo and can continue her conflict with her. Due to her personality, I could also see her developing conflicts with Courtney and Heather. Maybe even a crush on Alejandro? Although if he's still faking his injuries, then I don't see it that much. So, she's not really a lost case.
  • Owen - His description is yet another example of the creators clearly favoring Owen's ending over Gwen's. It also doesn't say much about his plot. As I believe, characters whose plots aren't mentioned and it's only said they're here to win were obvious fodders. However, there's one part in Owen's description: "(...) and he's hundgrier than ever." It's most likely a reference to Food Fright. As I, and many other fans, believe, Owen was clearly replaced with Sam. Sam's "plot" and the way he was eliminated was literally the same (except for the parts when Sam mentions Dakota).
  • Jo - Her description also doesn't say much, except that she'll have some enemies, both old and new. Plus, her elimination in Saving Private Leechball was leaked as the earliest one. It could be different back then, but I believe it was not. Speaking of her enemies, she's on a team with Lightning, Anne Maria, Heather, and Courtney (the latter could develop a conflict similar to Heather's since they were on the same team).
  • Mike - "Multiple personality Mike is returning - and there's even more of him!" This foreshadows some things. Firstly, his MPD wasn't cured of course. I always knew that beating his personalities wasn't enough (although it's better than a reset button). I was surprised when people were like "Why does he still have MPD? Didn't he defeat his personalities?". The second part of the sentence can be interpreted in two ways - A) he's going to appear even more, as he will be a finalist. B) Obvious reference to Mal.
  • Zoey - "finally got her mojo"? "Will the new Power Zoe(y) eat everyone else for breakfast"? This obviously refers to her new godplaying status that may be an effect of Commando Zoey from the previous season. It also foreshadows that she'll be a finalist.
  • Lindsay - Her description clrearly confirms she's a fodder. Her elimination didn't change, I guess.
  • Cameron - Wait! This desciption makes sense for his first season. He had alliances back then. He even had high tech weaponry. And it's missing in TDAS. I know I'm talking about original version of TDAS here and he sounded to be more interesting, but isn't this EXACTLY the same what he did last season?! Well, maybe at least this time his alliance is his friendship with Mike and Zoey, as he realized they can quickly outnumber other heroes.
  • Lightning - Yup, another obvious fodder. Guess his elimination was exactly the same too.
  • Courtney - Now, that's interesting. Lack of Gwen means she'll have the main conflict with Heather and will try to eliminate her. This also means she's most likely over the love triangle and is more annoyed that Alejandro chose Heather, not her. Plus, Heather won in her ending while she didn't. I wonder if she's still blindly into Alejandro or not? Well, she definitely had a time to watch past seasons after her last appearance. Also, creators definitely wanted to create a relationship with a 1st gen and a 2nd gen contestant no matter what. Of course, here's Scott. So, I guess she found out about Alejandro's true colors, but she hates Heather more, so she may even work with Alejandro.
  • Duncan - While Courtney wants a revenge on Heather, he wants a revenge on Courtney. His conflict with her continues, so he'll most likely form an alliance with Heather to get rid of her after realizing that she hates Heather the most and she's their common enemy. Then, he's most likely going to switch to the Heroes team (Wait! If there's no Gwen, then how? I'm gonna write about this later.) where he'll have his gag of becoming nicer that could lead to his elimination even in this version. He'll also have his background with Mike and a friendship with Zoey, like in the final version.
  • Heather - Yep, her Action-World Tour development is thrown away and she's more villainous (although not that much as in Island) again. And she still loves Alejandro. She's also not the safest. Besides Duncan and maybe Scott everyone will want to eliminate her per usual.
  • Alejandro - So, he'll be out of Drama Machine. But did they plan the whole faking his injury back then? Possibly. Also, he'll act he hates Heather now as a trick to have a revenge on her. He'll also try to eliminate her, possibly working with Courtney.
  • Sierra - And here comes the flanderization. I'm glad they didn't continue their plot like that in TDAS (although they did with Cameron). Also, since Cody's here as well, we won't have Cameron and Sierra! Yay!
  • Cody - Yep, he's back to when he's scared of Sierra. Once again, flanderization. Seems the creators forgot about their frenship they formed at the end of TDWT. And that they like stalker-based plots.
  • Brick - One of descriptions that say "He's back. He plans to win" only. This means he's an obvious fodder. But I'm not surprised. Jo's on a different team and has her own conflicts now (plus some new). Brick on the other hand doesn't have much people to interact with, as all other Heroes have their own plots. However, I still think he could've had some interactions with Jo. In fourth seasons they interacted even when being on different teams. This conflict could encourage the most heroic Hamster, Brick, to win challenges over Vultures.
  • Scott - His description, just like Cameron's, makes him sound more interesting in the original version. Looks like he wasn't a completely different person back then. He's still strategic, but obviously not an antagonist, as we have Mal. He'll be most likely like his self from Evil Dread for the entire season. Also, not only his past about living on a poor farm will cause him to change his strategy, I guess. Since here Scott sounds smarter, he'll know that he cannot throw challenges anymore with teammates like Jo, Heather, Courtney (when she's not heartbroken), Lightning, etc. Besides some sort of redemption, he'll obviously have his relationship with Courtney, even despite it's not mentioned. This means he may help her and Alejandro to try to eliminate Heather.

To sum up, here's a list of plots that would be used:

And a few non-important brief interactions.

Elimination order

Based on the final version and their hinted original plots, I'm gonna write how I think the eliminations looked like. Did you think it's impossible to make a 13-episodes season with 16 contestants? Nope! Well, I'm gonna need two double eliminations, no returns after being eliminated and no non-elimination episodes, but still.

Episode 1

  • Winners: Villainous Vultures
  • Eliminated: Lindsay
  • Reason of being eliminated: She was quickly too tired during the challenge. She also voted for herself on purpose.
  • Exiled: Lightning (volunteers after hearing about "a special reward.")
  • Remaining contestants: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Brick, Cameron, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Jo, Lightning, Mike, Owen, Scott, Sierra & Zoey (15)
  • Remaining boys: Alejandro, Brick, Cameron, Cody, Duncan, Lightning, Mike, Owen & Scott (9)
  • Remaining girls: Anne Maria, Courtney, Heather, Jo, Sierra & Zoey (6)
  • Remaining Villains: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Jo, Lightning & Scott (8)
  • Remaining Heroes: Brick, Cameron, Cody, Mike, Owen, Sierra & Zoey (7)
  • Remaining 1st gen: Alejandro, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Owen & Sierra (7)
  • Remaining 2nd gen: Anne Maria, Brick, Cameron, Jo, Lightning, Mike, Scott & Zoey (8)

Plot: Since Courtney's on the Vultures, Lindsay volunteers to push the carriage for her team herself. Also, it's even worse for her than in the final version, as she has Owen on her team. And since Courtney's on the Villains, this is the episode where foreshadowings for Courtney and Scott started. For the same reasons (Courtney being a Villain), Lindsay votes for herself on purpose, rather than it being supposedly another accident.

Comment: There are barely any changes here. Her early description proves she was meant to be fodder from the beginning. The creators definitely wanted a veteran to be eliminated first because they had three seasons for them while newbies had only one. Also, Courtney and Heather, the only contestants I could see her interact with in this season, are on a different team and have more important plots. Sorry Lindsay's fans, I warned you the original version will in my opinion have a lot of mistakes from the final TDAS.

Episode 2

  • Winners: Heroic Hamsters
  • Eliminated: Lightning
  • Reason of being eliminated: He does the same mistake as in the final version.
  • Exiled: Owen (he thinks he owes this his team for his poor performence during the challenge)
  • Remaining contestants: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Brick, Cameron, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Jo, Mike, Owen, Scott, Sierra & Zoey (14)
  • Remaining boys: Alejandro, Brick, Cameron, Cody, Duncan, Mike, Owen & Scott (8)
  • Remaining girls: Anne Maria, Courtney, Heather, Jo, Sierra & Zoey (6)
  • Remaining Villains: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Jo & Scott (7)
  • Remaining Heroes: Brick, Cameron, Cody, Mike, Owen, Sierra & Zoey (7)
  • Remaining 1st gen: Alejandro, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Owen & Sierra (7)
  • Remaining 2nd gen: Anne Maria, Brick, Cameron, Jo, Mike, Scott & Zoey (7)

Plot: As I said, Anne Maria, Courtney, Heather and Jo easily have conflicts with each other, the latter three for leadership of their team. However, since Lightning is an obvious fodder, his conflict with Jo is less important than the mentioned ones and this season was when he realistically has to be eliminated early, unlike the previous one, he does the same mistake that costed his team a challenge as in the final version. His teammates hate losing, so they put their conflicts aside and team up to vote him off and guarantee another victory for their team.

Episode 3

  • Winners: Heroic Hamsters
  • Eliminated: Jo
  • Reason of being eliminated: She accidentally shot two teammates.
  • Exiled: Cody (he wants to be away from Sierra)
  • Remaining contestants: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Brick, Cameron, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Mike, Owen, Scott, Sierra & Zoey (13)
  • Remaining boys: Alejandro, Brick, Cameron, Cody, Duncan, Mike, Owen & Scott (8)
  • Remaining girls: Anne Maria, Courtney, Heather, Sierra & Zoey (5)
  • Remaining Villains: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Courtney, Heather & Scott (5)
  • Remaining Heroes: Brick, Cameron, Cody, Duncan, Mike, Owen, Sierra & Zoey (8)
  • Remaining 1st gen: Alejandro, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Owen & Sierra (7)
  • Remaining 2nd gen: Anne Maria, Brick, Cameron, Mike, Scott & Zoey (6)
  • Note: Duncan is switched to Heroic Hamsters for accidentally "saving" Brick.

Plot: Jo, wanting to be a leader, takes the cannon for herself and accidentally shoots Scott. At the end of the challenge, Brick's the last one from his team. The last Vultures are Duncan and Jo. Here we have some Brick and Jo moments. When they're close to Brick, Duncan trips and accidentally "saves" him from Jo's shot. While she's shocked she shot yet another teammate, Brick shoots her and wins for the Hamsters. There are so many conflicts that it was hard to choose who would be eliminated. But ultimately, it's Jo who accidentally eliminated two teammates from the challenge.

Comment: Character with potential gone. Well, Jo's elimination was the earliest we found out about. And there are about twice more boys than girls now. Plus, Heroes outnumbered Villains so much as well. But don't worry, it won't last long. What about the title of the episode? Yeah, I think "Private" could refer to Brick. And what about "Saving" if there's no Gwen? Would Duncan save someone else? I guess he would in a very TD style. That's why he accidentally "saves" Brick and Chris switches him to the Heroes, making a huge number disadvantage for the Villains by the way.

Episode 4

  • Winners: Villainous Vultures
  • Eliminated: Owen
  • Reason of being eliminated: He smuggled some pancakes from the challenge, thus causing his team to lose.
  • Exiled: Scott (due to his "love" for McLean-Brand Chris Head)
  • Remaining contestants: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Brick, Cameron, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Mike, Scott, Sierra & Zoey (12)
  • Remaining boys: Alejandro, Brick, Cameron, Cody, Duncan, Mike & Scott (7)
  • Remaining girls: Anne Maria, Courtney, Heather, Sierra & Zoey (5)
  • Remaining Villains: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Courtney, Heather & Scott (5)
  • Remaining Heroes: Brick, Cameron, Cody, Duncan, Mike, Sierra & Zoey (7)
  • Remaining 1st gen: Alejandro, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Heather & Sierra (6)
  • Remaining 2nd gen: Anne Maria, Brick, Cameron, Mike, Scott & Zoey (6)

Plot: His love for food, as well as a night spent on a Boney Island, causes Owen to smuggle a piece pancake from the challenge. When Vultures were supposedly about to have an elimination ceremony, Alejandro, Courtney, and Scott teamed up to vote off Heather. However, Chris reveals "the cheater" and it's actually Heroic Hamsters that is going for elimination ceremony for never technically finishing the challenge.

Comment: This one's easy. As I've said before, Sam's "plot" was exactly the same as Owen's, especially in this episode. Owen has even already been stung by bees once, so they could easily use his design after that event again.

Episode 5

  • Winners: Villainous Vultures
  • Eliminated: Brick
  • Reason of being eliminated: His fear of dark caused him to lose the challenge for his team.
  • Exiled: Scott (once again, due to his "love" for McLean-Brand Chris Head)
  • Remaining contestants: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Cameron, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Mike, Scott, Sierra & Zoey (11)
  • Remaining boys: Alejandro, Cameron, Cody, Duncan, Mike & Scott (6)
  • Remaining girls: Anne Maria, Courtney, Heather, Sierra & Zoey (5)
  • Remaining Villains: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Cody, Courtney, Heather & Scott (6)
  • Remaining Heroes: Cameron, Duncan, Mike, Sierra & Zoey (5)
  • Remaining 1st gen: Alejandro, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Heather & Sierra (6)
  • Remaining 2nd gen: Anne Maria, Cameron, Mike, Scott & Zoey (5)
  • Note: Cody is switched to the Villainous Vultures for the way he treated Sierra during the challenge.

Plot: After an attack of moon-affected animals, heroic team is split into two groups. One of them is Cody and Sierra. Cody's fed up with his stalker after spending most of the challenge with her and decides to abandon her. He pushes her and runs away. Meanwhile, Brick's fear of dark causes him to freak out and get lost. Due to this, he comes to the finish line as the last one and loses for his team. Before the elimination ceremony, Chris switches Cody to the Villainous Vultures for his "villainous act", as well as to annoy the villains for having to put up with a "Token Good Teammate". Brick's fear causes him to leave the island.

Comment: Ever wondered why Cameron was switched to the Vultures? And why wasn't he switched for a villainous act? Yeah, me too. Since Cameron was so imagined as Cody by Sierra in the final version, I think it could happen that way in the original one.

Episode 6

  • Winners: Heroic Hamsters
  • Eliminated: Heather
  • Reason of being eliminated: Alejandro and Courtney got a revenge on her.
  • Exiled: Despite it could continue, as in the final version, no more exiles, I guess. What's the point of them now?
  • Remaining contestants: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Cameron, Cody, Courtney, Duncan, Mike, Scott, Sierra & Zoey (10)
  • Remaining boys: Alejandro, Cameron, Cody, Duncan, Mike & Scott (6)
  • Remaining girls: Anne Maria, Courtney, Sierra & Zoey (4)
  • Remaining Villains: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Cody, Courtney & Scott (5)
  • Remaining Heroes: Cameron, Duncan, Mike, Sierra & Zoey (5)
  • Remaining 1st gen: Alejandro, Cody, Courtney, Duncan & Sierra (5)
  • Remaining 2nd gen: Anne Maria, Cameron, Mike, Scott & Zoey (5)

Plot: Villains hate having a "Token Good Teammate" on their team while Sierra already freaks out due to missing him. However, Cody's quickly welcomed warmly, as everyone wants to have him as an ally, especially Heather who desperately tries to find an ally since Duncan's switch (Anne Maria is so far indifferent). However, she finally succeeds, thanks to her firendship with Cody from their last season and his dislike for Alejandro and Courtney. During the challenge, Heather finds an immunity statue and Courtney witnesses this. She (Courtney) tells about it to Alejandro and Scott. The Spaniard easily steals it, just like he stole Heather's ammo in African Lying Safari. To make their revenge even more painful, the three plan to not only vote Heather off, but to do so with only one vote against her, now that they have immunity statue. They also chose Courtney to be the one who'll receive most of the votes (since Heather would rather vote her off istead of Alejandro), although they were arguing a lot over who should have the role of a victim in this plan. Alejandro tells Heather he's voting for Courtney, to which she agrees. They convince Cody and Anne Maria to do the same. Heather, however, realizes her immunity statue is gone and quickly accuses either Al or Courtney of it. She searches their beds but finds nothing. Alejandro even shows his pockets are empty (it's Scott who has it the entire time). At the elimination ceremony, everyone votes as was planned. Scott secretly gives Courtney the idol (although a bit relucantly, but he realizes he likes her more than this item). Courtney reveals her statue and, to add injury to the insults, tells about Alejandro's plan. Chris isn't sure whether it should've been allowed to use it only for the person who found it, not stole it, but accepts it because: a) he hates Heather, b) he was looking forward Al and Courtney's revenge and c) he thinks she's already competed in a lot of episodes. Heather screams in terror while Alejandro and Courtney celebrate their triumph. Now, that Alejandro's revenge was completed, he admits he still loves Heather and decides to eliminate her enemy, Courtney, next time.

Comment: Wow, kinda long, isn't it? But there were so many things happening that it couldn't be described shortly. Also, I have some other theories about how this episode could've looked like, some rather wrong, some perhaps good as well. I decided to choose this one because their revenge definitely hurt Heather and I got rid of that immunity statue.

Episode 7

  • Eliminated: Sierra and Cody
  • Reason of being eliminated: Villains eliminated Sierra. Heroes eliminated Cody.
  • Remaining contestants: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Cameron, Courtney, Duncan, Mike, Scott & Zoey (8)
  • Remaining boys: Alejandro, Cameron, Duncan, Mike & Scott (5)
  • Remaining girls: Anne Maria, Courtney & Zoey (3)
  • Remaining Villains: Alejandro, Anne Maria, Courtney & Scott (4)
  • Remaining Heroes: Cameron, Duncan, Mike & Zoey (4)
  • Remaining 1st gen: Alejandro, Courtney & Duncan (3)
  • Remaining 2nd gen: Anne Maria, Cameron, Mike, Scott & Zoey (5)

Plot: There's a tie so no team wins immunity. Does it mean a non-elimination episode? No! Chris can't resist having another elimination ceremony. He allows teams to eliminate one contestant from the other team. Villains are first, as a consolation prize for losing previous challenge. Cody begs them to get rid of Sierra and since they all want him as their ally, they agree. Heartbroken due to even worse seperation than on team-level, Sierra cries and freaks out. Heroes feel sorry for her so they eliminate Cody in order for them to be flushed together.

Comment: This is a challenge where you can easily have a tie. I also thought they'd eliminate Cody and Sierra in a double elimination. And since this is the episode in which Sierra is eliminated in the final version I thought it'd be suitable way for them to be eliminated like that in the original one.

Episode 8

  • Note: Merge!!! (I'm gonna continue writing how many villains and heroes are left though)
  • Winner: Alejandro
  • Eliminated: Duncan and Anne Maria
  • Reason of being eliminated: Chris disqualifies Duncan for blowing up his mansion while Anne Maria gets the most votes.
  • Remaining contestants: Alejandro, Cameron, Courtney, Mike, Scott & Zoey (6)
  • Remaining boys: Alejandro, Cameron, Mike & Scott (4)
  • Remaining girls: Courtney & Zoey (2)
  • Remaining Villains: Alejandro, Courtney & Scott (3)
  • Remaining Heroes: Cameron, Mike & Zoey (3)
  • Remaining 1st gen: Alejandro & Courtney (2)
  • Remaining 2nd gen: Cameron, Mike, Scott & Zoey (4)

Plot: After a long time on Heroic Hamsters, Duncan loses his bad boy image. He does everything he can to prove he's still a villain. During the challenge he comes up with an idea to blow up Chris' cottage...I mean, mansion. At the beginning of the elimination ceremony, Chris disqualifies him and Duncan gets arrested, finally facing suitable form of comeuppance for him. Chris then declares a regular voting. With teams being now officially dissolved, Cameron, "Mike", and Zoey vote together for Anne Maria to prevent from potentially continuing the love triangle (although Mal prefers to leave her to cause drama, he decides to eliminate her, as the person he wanted to get rid of the most is already gone). Meanwhile, Scott is aware of Courtney's past attraction to Alejandro and remembers how they were working together to eliminate Heather. As he already gave Courtney a sign that he loves her by giving her immunity idol, even despite he could keep it for himself as well, he now demands a sign from her by voting for Alejandro, even despite he's immune. Courtney's reluctant to waste her vote but agrees and they both end up doing so. Alejandro votes fro Courtney as he promised himself while Anne Maria votes for Zoey due to their conflict, as well as finally having a chance to do so.

Comment: Another double elimination? In a row? Well, this episode was made to eliminate Duncan, just as it does in the final version. Other screenhogs like Owen and Heather were eliminated early this season, so I suppose they wanted to get rid of Duncan as the first one after the merge. As for Anne Maria, I didn't know when she should be eliminated. She couldn't make it too far, as she would be a floater and and she doesn't have many plots left now. She also couldn't be eliminated too early due to potential (or maybe she could? I'm gonna write about my other ideas later).

Episode 9

  • Winner: Mike (I don't know if he was planned to win in the early version. It's just for the need of plot and actually letting this season's finalist win at least one other episode.)
  • Eliminated: Cameron
  • Reason of being eliminated: Mal rigs the votes against him.
  • Remaining contestants: Alejandro, Courtney, Mike, Scott & Zoey (5)
  • Remaining boys: Alejandro, Mike & Scott (3)
  • Remaining girls: Courtney & Zoey (2)
  • Remaining Villains: Alejandro, Courtney & Scott (3)
  • Remaining Heroes: Mike & Zoey (2)
  • Remaining 1st gen: Alejandro & Courtney (2)
  • Remaining 2nd gen: Mike, Scott & Zoey (3)

Plot: Courtney's last vote made Scott believe she loves him to. Courtney also knows his feelings are genuine due to what he has done for her earlier. Due to their mutual attraction, they decide to officially become a couple. Feral Ezekiel reappears and kidnaps the host, as well as captures contestants during a mission to rescue him. Mal regrets voting off Anne Maria due to lack of drama around (while Cameron regrets voting her off, knowing Zeke's attraction to her would help to win and save the others). Thus, he wants Alejandro to cause some chaos in Courtney and Scott's relationship, so he suggests Cameron to look for him. This causes Cameron to realize what's wrong with Mike. However, they face off Ezekiel who splits his currently mutated saliva on the rocks that fall on Cameron, leaving him injured (not to the point of final version, but more to the point of the finale with also bandages over his head that make him unable to communicate). Mal's evil nature helps him battle Ezekiel and win the challenge (although it's Chef who saves Chris as no one else wanted to do so, even for a challenge). Cameron's realization of Mike's problem makes Mal rig the votes against him to prevent from being caught.

Comment: It's interesting how Cameron was spared from two eliminations in the final version. IMO it could be remains of events from the original one that I described here. I could also imagine a combination of his non-elimination from the previous and elimination from this episode of the final version and that's why I decided to mix them here.

Episode 10

  • Winner: Zoey
  • Eliminated: Alejandro
  • Reason of being eliminated: Mal orchestrates his elimination because he's a huge threat for him.
  • Remaining contestants: Courtney, Mike, Scott & Zoey (4)
  • Remaining boys: Mike & Scott (2)
  • Remaining girls: Courtney & Zoey (2)
  • Remaining Villains: Courtney & Scott (2)
  • Remaining Heroes: Mike & Zoey (2)
  • Remaining 1st gen: Courtney (1)
  • Remaining 2nd gen: Mike, Scott & Zoey (3)

Plot: Having found about Mal two episodes ago, Alejandro decided to keep it a secret, as no one would believe him. However, he knew something was wrong also because it was suspectful for him that Cameron got eliminated last time instead of him himself (because of Courtney and Scott's alliance) or Scott (because of the friendship trio). Mal overhears contestants' confessionals to find out whether they found out about his true self too. That's how he realizes Alejandro's onto him. The episode is pretty much the same as in the final version but it's even easier for Mal to convince Courtney and Scott to vote for Alejandro, as they want to get rid of him for couple of episodes.

Comment: This one was good and the only time when Mal fully and directly causes someone's elimination all by himself. Of course anything could be different in the original version, but I guess this stays the same.

Episode 11

  • Winner: Zoey
  • Eliminated: Courtney
  • Reason of being eliminated: Mal orchestrates his elimination because he's a huge threat for him.
  • Remaining contestants: Mike, Scott & Zoey (3)
  • Remaining boys: Mike & Scott (2)
  • Remaining girls: Zoey (1)
  • Remaining Villains: Scott (1)
  • Remaining Heroes: Mike & Zoey (2)
  • Remaining 1st gen: (0)
  • Remaining 2nd gen: Mike, Scott & Zoey (3)

Plot: Once it's between two couples, Mal decides to break the other couple to get farther in the game. He continues on overhearing confessional to learn about something that could make them argue. Meanwhile, Courtney starts strategizing a lot since it's now final 4. She makes a chart which confirms she wants Zoey gone now due to her skills and Scott before the finale, believing it'd be easy to defeat Mike and fearing the money may stand as a top priority for Scott, just like in Alejandro and Heather's case. Mal steals the chart (I don't know if it could be explained how in the original version). He shows it to everyone and his plan in making Courtney and Scott conflicted succeeds. Courtney begs Scott not to vote for her. He agrees but only if she votes for herself (he would vote for Mike then). Since it's unknown what were the results in the final version, I also don't know how it'll look in this one. But there were 3 votes for Courtney for sure. Either from Mike, Zoey, and Scot while she most likely voted for Scott (or Mike) or from herself, Mike, and Zoey while Scott voted for Mike.

Episode 12

  • Winner: Zoey
  • Eliminated: Scott
  • Reason of being eliminated: Zoey chose him to be eliminated.
  • Remaining contestants: Mike & Zoey (2)
  • Remaining boys: Mike (1)
  • Remaining girls: Zoey (1)
  • Remaining Villains: (0)
  • Remaining Heroes: Mike & Zoey (2)
  • Remaining 1st gen: (0)
  • Remaining 2nd gen: Mike & Zoey (2)

Plot: Scott realizes how stupid his decision in the previous episode was, as he'll now against the lovebirds and his only chance of making to the final is to win the challenge. Unfortunately for him and his fans, Fang as well as sabotage from Mike caused him to return with empty hands. Zoey wins the chalenge for yet another time, just like in the final version (I told you it was referenced she's gonna godplay big time). She can choose who'll she eliminate and she chooses...Mike! Because she noticed how much Scott changed in this season and she doesn't want to compete against her boyfriend. Nah! Kidding! She chooses Scott of course!

Comment: The final 3 consist of 2nd gen only and in this version it's even worse, as they have an entire episode for it? Aw, poop! But I guess there could be other options that I'm gonna write about later. As for Courtney and Scott reuniting, I dunno if they were planned to not last long back then or whether they actually let Courtney have another man for a longer time. They could make up again in the finale. Or not.

Episode 13

This time I'll just write about some changes in this episode. Firstly, something what may make you happy is that Owen was a contestant in this version and didn't just make a cameo in this episode. This means he'd be bring back along with everyone and possibly was just sitting on Peanut Gallery. Most important thing is that he most likely didn't fill the balloons with gas. With this role changed, the balloons possibly didn't even appear and the finalists could simply choose who they want as their helpers or it was automatically chosen by Chris. Another change is that with no Gwen around, who was Zoey's second helper? Hmm... Gwen was someone both Cameron and Zoey had a friendship with. In this version it'd be...Brick? Thanks to Gwen, there was also an ultimate continuation of one of the most important plots of TD - Gwen and Heather's conflict. Who also has a major conflict with Heather? Courtney! Plus, counting the version I described here, she even ranked the same place! About Camp Wawanakwa sinking, I don't know if they planned this from the start, but they could. With all contestants from the season appearing again, it'd feel even more like the finale of Total Drama World Tour.

Another ideas for eliminations

Here are other ideas for some of the episodes:

  • Saving Private Leechball: Anne Maria is eliminated in a double elimination with Jo. She quits once her enemy (Jo) is eliminated due to already outranking her, Vito not being around, not wanting to put up with Courtney and Heather anymore and the challenge with leeches supposedly damaging her looks (Justin-like paranoia).

The reason I changed this is because it'd feel weird to have her quit again, this time without a "diamond." Also, I'll believe that despite she doesn't care about the game, she'd like to outrank Courtney, Heather, and Zoey. Plus, appearance of Ezekiel in the 100th episode coulld've had something to do with her originally (it could give her an advantage to win or a reason to be eliminated).

  • No One Eggspects the Spanish Opposition: The reason I decided this episode to look like that was to make it more interesting, as well as to end some plots properly. But it could also look like that:

A) The same BS way it does in the final version.

B) With the teammates she had at the moment, she could've been easily voted out and we didn't need immunity idol for this. Al & Court wanted revenge on her, Scott would help Courtney, and with no Vito around and Alejandro not faking his injuries, Anne Maria could have a crush on him, thus easily be convinced by him to vote for her. That leaves Cody as the only one who wouldn't vote for her, again. But what about exiles? Well, immunity idol remains. It's just Courtney who either finds it herself or steals it from Heather somehow. Why Courtney? You'll find out soon!

  • You Regatta Be Kidding Me - Zeek And Ye Shall Find: As I mentioned, Zeke's cameo was a perfect chance to continue this short one-sided attraction. Mal could rig the votes against Cameron in the same episode as in the final version, only here it'd be successful. Annie could get eliminated in the next episode because of Zeke somehow (I doubt he'd injure her). But I guess she wouldn't win, as she would make it kinda too far and there would be too few veteran contestants left (as I suppose Alejandro would be eliminated in 100th episode if Annie won).
  • Sundae Muddy Sundae - The Bold and the Booty-ful: Again, I have two another versions prepared this time:

A) Remember when I said Heather could easily be voted out without immunity idol and that Courtney could be the one who kept it? Well, it could be also Scott who found it but gave it to her to show how much he loves her. When it's SMS she gets the most votes and uses it to be spared from elimination. This means there's actually one contestant from the 1st cast in the final 3. She's eliminated in the next episode in the same way as Scott in the final version and it's truly the farthest she's ever made. B) Chris enjoys the drama stirred up between Courtney and Scott, so he decides SMS is actually the only non-elimination episode of the season. In the next episode, they could explain everything to each other or break up forever. I don't know what was planned for them back then. Anyway, she's eliminated in the same BS way as Gwen in the version in which she appears and Scott's elimination remains exactly the same.

Final thoughts

As you can see, original version could've improved a few things. It could've also had its own problems the final version didn't have. Let's look at pros of this version at first:

  • More contestants which more interactions, more conflicts, more alliances, more interesting thing, etc. Simply, more plots.
  • Giving Anne Maria a chance by letting her reach the merge.
  • Owen for once being a fodder and Heather also being eliminated quite early (I mean, I love her, but there were other contestants who didn't have that huge impact on the show and her plot was realistic thanks to this)
  • (For Gwuncan fans) Possibly no break up between Duncan and Gwen due to Gwen not being present (I doubt she'd break up with him via some message. Also, what would be the reason? The fact he wanted to help Heather?).
  • Less derailment for Courtney. She could also actually make things up with Scott at the end of the season, meaning she'll have a happy ending.
  • No "Ballooned All-Stars" in the finale.
  • Camp Wawanakwa possibly sinking anyway - at least it prevents from having other seasons on this location and forces the creators to come up with new ideas. To be honest, I was kinda getting bored by most seasons being on this island.

And now for the cons:

  • No Gwen despite she's All-Star worthy.
  • (For Gwuncan haters) Possibly no break up between Duncan and Gwen due to Gwen not being present
  • Mike and Zoey having the same role and screentime as in the final version.
  • Flanderization of Cody, Sierra, and their plot.
  • Elimination order being mostly the same which means some great characters with potential eliminated early and some undeserving/annoying contestants lasting long.
  • Although her derailment is to a lesser extent, Courtney's development is not the best either.
  • Some plots being wasted or simply abandoned (like Duncan and Heather's alliance due to the former switching teams).
  • As seen in one of my ideas, final three possibly consisting of 2nd gen only for even longer than in the final version (entire episode).
  • Camp Wawanakwa possibly sinking anyway - R.I.P. memories and good old times... And no chance for any other season to take place on this island again (some of you may be looking forward it).

There are quite a few examples for both. So, would the way it could've originally looked like (counting all the versions I've written about) improve TDAS or not? Or would it be pretty much the same? It's all up to your opinion.
