Welcome to the Roleplay Reborn guidelines forum. These overarching rules help users keep things fun and safe while roleplaying. Breaking any of these rules may result in repercussions, including removal from the roleplay. Actors should be familiar with the wiki's policies before roleplaying.

Accept eliminations

Actors who get eliminated must accept their character's elimination without complaining or throwing a tantrum. It is unnecessary to take an elimination personally: this is just a roleplay. Actors who become offended at their elimination will likely not be chosen to return for another season.

Be realistic

Total Drama may be a cartoon but actors should also remember to be grounded in reality and avoid heavy exaggeration. Do not hyperbolize a character's personality and try to stay in-character.

The leaders of Roleplay Reborn permit users to create middle and surnames for their characters provided they have written consent from the roleplay leaders.

Develop appropriately

Almost every Total Drama character has developed throughout the series. This roleplay is based on the show and thus, character development is heavily encouraged. The leaders will inform users at the beginning of the season whether they want to see them develop their characters minimally or substantially. It is advised that players habitually make choices their character would make in the actual show.

Users are barred from ever making any physical changes to a character without consent from one of the roleplay's leaders.

Face challenges

A major part of staying in-character is facing challenges during the roleplay. Characters shouldn't just have to face actual episodic challenges that determine a winner, but emotional challenges, as well. A majority of Total Drama plots rely on broken hearts, inter-alliance drama, and heated rivalries.

Therefore, leaders expect that players aren't glorifying their characters, and creating actual storylines that make their character more interesting. During actual challenges, characters should face mental or physical obstacles that hold them back from completing the task within minutes. Actors that powerplay often have their roles replaced with another user.

Winning a challenge in this roleplay is based on a team's, or a character's, ability to roleplay rather than challenge completion. If Chris instructs the contestants to climb a cliff and the first team finishes before the second, the first team may not necessarily win the challenge. If the second team was more realistic in their journey to the top of the cliff, they will be awarded with immunity.

Improvise

Users should try not to reject actions or ideas from other actors. For instance, if a user says that they screwed up in the previous challenge, it is discouraged for another user to dismiss this claim. As the roleplay is heavily improvised, players may be jeopardizing another user's plotline by not playing along.

This kind of behavior is heavily frowned upon and will significantly lessen a user's chances of joining another season.

Keep things appropriate

It is absolutely unacceptable for a user to use any word during the roleplay that cannot be used on the wiki. However, whereas users are allowed to non-vulgarly use terms for things such as reproductive organs on the wiki and its chats, words such as these are disallowed in the roleplay. Please keep things appropriate, as Total Drama is a show aimed at a younger demographic.

Actors must remain silent when Chris is talking during the roleplay. This is especially important when he is explaining a challenge or an elimination. Users who frequently attempt to draw attention by speaking out may face a consequence.
