The episode begins just after the events of The Enchanted Franken-Forest, and Cameron is disheartened that Zoey didn't make it to the finale. However, Lightning is confident, because it will be much easier to win the million dollars due to Cameron's lack of athleticism. Cameron tells him that even though he isn't that strong, he still has as they call it "game." Lightning shows his "game" by lifting a log over his head and saying how he's got it in the bag. Cameron points out though that he could not win if the last challenge is an intellectual one, but Lightning points out that past TotalDramafinales have always been physical and states that he can crush Cameron like a grape.
Am I worried? No. Terrified? Yes. But this formerly feeble bubble boy has come a long way. If I can beat Lightning, I can do anything! […] If, on the other hand, Lightning beats me savagely, I at least have a biologically sterile plastic bubble in which I can spend the next sixteen years growing my skin back while eating my mom's sandwiches through a straw. […] Oh, mom, if you're listening, start pumping the oxygen!
If I were a gentleman, I'd step aside and let the little girl win. But daddy didn't raise no gentleman. Ha! Sha-victory is mine! Ah—!
”
Lightning's confessional is interrupted when he gets scared and falls down due to the horns playing in the background.
Later that day, Chris is seen being pulled in a carriage with a television; it shows the two finalist's parents, being able to video chat with them. Cameron's mom is first seen talking to him. She had told him since purified air costs so much, she won't be able to afford his bubble. Cameron seems shocked while his mother needs him to win the million. Next is Lightning's father, but only seen from his backside. He is also saying that his son is going to win the million while he's being interviewed. He even bet his championship rings. Lightning seems nervous with the heavy toll he holds now, while his father says he's nothing without them. The video then shuts off, while Lightning never got to actually speak to him.
If I lose, pops is gonna lose his rings! But I can't lose, I won't lose! I don't know how to lose! And one way or another, I am gonna make pops proud! Sha-biggity bam!
”
The final two and Chris are seen in the carriage as they approach the "Chrisiseum." Once inside, Chris then shows the eliminated contestants. Cameron then asks what happened to Scott, who is now in a machine. Chris explains that Fang had "a little too much fun" with him after Scott took the Hurl of Shame, and that his machine helps him say "yes" and "no," since he can't talk. Sam then asks if he has to cheer, while Chris says it's mandatory to cheer, or else Fang will be released on them. Chris then announces the final challenge, a gladiator battle royal. The first part is to create armor out of a massive junk pile dumped next to them. Chris then says they have fifteen minutes to assemble their armor, but to also be careful for booby traps.
Lightning first starts out pushing Cameron as he goes back and forth in front of the Peanut Gallery, who are cheering and helping him build. Cameron then finds a computer and a HazMat suit. When he pulled on the suit, a bomb goes off in front of him. Lightning then makes fun of him and continues working. But Cameron then spots a blowtorch that is next to Lightning, which he could use. Later on, Lightning has his suit armor almost complete, while Cameron uses a computer, powered by the Marshmallow of Toxic Loserdom, to program his armor. A quick montage is then seen between the two preparing, until the fifteen minutes are up. Lightning is seen with his armor which everyone cheers him on, while he makes fun of Cameron, who only has a suitcase. Cameron then kicks the case, releasing a battlesuit of high-tech, power armor which self-assembles onto him, leaving Lightning stunned.
Chris then announces part two, where the rules are, whoever pins the other for three seconds first win. The battle then starts with Lightning going after Cameron. Cameron then blasts him, causing him to fall down. Chris then brings in the mutant beetle that shoots fire at Lightning, while he runs towards Cameron and punches him. He then falls down, powering his rockets on the bottom of his feet, blasting the beetle out of the ring.
Lightning then attacks Cameron multiple times with his weapon, which causes Cameron's suit to lower in armor strength. Chris gets bored of the battle and brings out a mutant alligator. Cameron blasts out of the alligators mouth, while he picks up Lightning who punches him from below. Cameron then punches the alligator in the stomach, sending them both flying. Lightning is able to land on the ground in a split formation, injuring his groin in the process. Mike then tells Cameron to pin him, but Lightning gets back up, keeping the fight going on. Cameron fire his blaster arm at Lightning, but he manage to deflect one of the shots out of his way with his club. One of the shots ended up in Chris's chair hitting his remote. The remote then malfunctions, causing all the mutant creatures on the island (and Ezekiel) to appear. Zoey, Mike, and Scott are seen traumatized in the confessional after seeing Larry again.
The animals then attack the eliminated contestants, causing them to go into the ring with Lightning and Cameron. Anne Maria is seen confronting a mutant squirrel, and the squirrel shoots her hair. Ezekiel then comes to save her and leans in for a kiss as she screams.
Cameron then gets worried about his endangered friends, while Lightning attacks him from behind and almost pins him. Cameron then throws him off causing his helmet to also fall off. Cameron then uses the helmet to save Anne Maria, knocking out Ezekiel. Anne Maria then hairsprays her hair to fix the damage done to it. Dakota is seen attacking a mutant turtle holding Sam, while Dawn says her tea leaves didn't predict B getting punched by the octopus in the tree. Staci is also seen getting eaten by Larry, talking about her ancestors as usual. Cameron then blasts Larry in the privates, as he runs away. Lightning finally comes back to hit Cameron once more, getting rid of all of Cameron's armor strength all together. Cameron then orders the armor to transfer all power to create a magnetic field, which finally shuts down Cameron's armor. Everyone is then stunned when it appears nothing has happened Lightning then tries to attack Cameron one last time, but everything starts to get attracted to Lightning's armor. Cameron then tells him he turned him into a magnet, causing everything magnetic in the field to be pulled towards him. A storm cloud nearby strikes Lightning, causing everything to get blasted away from him and turning his hair white. However, Cameron also couldn't move as he uses the last of his armor's energy for the last attack. Depending on the ending, one contestant fall over the other and wins the challenge.
Lightning falls first, followed by Cameron who landed on top of Lightning. The contestants count to three as Cameron wins. Chris then announces Cameron has won the fourth season. Lightning rants that the challenge was rigged, denies that he lost to Cameron and cries because he let his father down.
From a boy in a bubble to a million-dollar winner? I wouldn't believe it myself if it wasn't all on tape! Lightning, if you're listening… (blows raspberry)
This is an outrage! The challenge was rigged! I did not lose to that bubble lover! It's impossible! (crying) Sorry, pops!
”
A few hours later, the cast is seen at the Dock of Shame on a boat while Cameron is also seen with his million dollars as he approaches the boat with everyone else. Anne Maria suggests he should buy more stylish clothes to improve his ensemble, but Sam reminds her that he has to use the money to keep his bubble habitable. Cameron then realizes he no longer needs the money for his bubble. He then decides that because they all helped him no longer need his bubble, that he'd share the money with them, to which everyone (even Lightning but except Scott) cheers. Sam is seen talking about buying video games, Jo talking about starting her dream gym, and Brick shouts out that he gets to go to fashion school. Everyone looks at him awkwardly as the boat pulls away.
Lightning falls on top of Cameron in a daze. Chris counts to three, and then declares Lightning the winner, much to everyone's chagrin.
(sighs) I may not have won, but I did survive, and that counts for a lot when you grow up hermetically sealed in plastic. Just being alive is a personal victory!
”
He receives the million dollars on the Dock of Shame while Zoey comforts Cameron over his loss, which Cameron says was more of a victory due to him still being alive. When Mike asks what Lightning will spend the money on, Jo asks for 10% due to her getting him to the finals in the first place. Sam offers to play any video games that Lightning needs to beat, but Lightning rejects both of them and says that he's spending it on his own stadium so that he can get in shape for football season.
Chris pulls out an X-ray of Lightning's body following the challenge and advises him to avoid physical workouts for a while, but Lightning says that pain doesn't matter to him. He then takes a step forward and breaks his leg as the boat pulls away. The screen then switches to the confessional with Jo in it.
I carried both these maroons to the finale. Where's my million dollars? What a rip-off!
”
After collecting his reward, the winner leaves with the other contestants on a boat driven by Chef. Chris then starts to sign off, but before he does, he reveals that he placed a bomb at the bottom of the boat. When he pressed the detonator however, the dock underneath him explodes instead. Chris realizes that Chef has switched the bomb's position and yells at him. Chris then resumes his sign off, when suddenly a flock of helicopters surround the island, saying that the island is now under government protection. Chris is also ordered to be quarantined and arrested for his crimes throughout the season, while the cast is seen laughing at Chris' ultimate defeat as they drive away.

The episode was confirmed by Christian Potenza to have been recorded around October 13, 2011. Interestingly, the word "final battle" was originally recorded by Potenza but went unheard in the actual episode, with some believing "The Final Battle" was the episode's original title.
This is the second season in a row where the United States and Canada have two different winners.
In this case, Cameron winning in Canada and Lightning winning in the United States.
This is the first, and currently only, final two in Total Drama history to have two male finalists. Thus, this makes this the second finale in the show to be, canonically and definitively, won by a male competitor, following The Very Last Episode, Really!.
This is currently the only finale in which the challenge is not a race, but a duel.
That said, this would be the second finale to not be a race if one considers that The Aftermath: IV (Action) consisted on a jury vote, though only because the race of Mutiny on the Soundstage, the intended finale, ended up in a tie between Duncan and Beth.
This is the first time that Latin America and United States have different endings.
In this case, Cameron wins in Latin America, while Lightning wins in the United States.
In the United States version, Scott is not shown crying when everyone is laughing at him. Instead, the camera cuts to Chris smiling with the accompanying twinkle in it.
This is also the final episode of Total Drama to have any censorship edits in the United States.
This is the last episode in the series to feature the original theme song. A shortened version was used from "Heroes vs. Villains" (All-Stars) onward.
Continuity
This is one of only eight episodes in the series (as well as the only one in Revenge of the Island) to pick up right where the previous episode ended. The others are:
This is the third episode of the season in which Ezekiel has an individual cameo appearance, and his fourth cameo appearance overall of the season.
This marks the second time in the series that the winner actually gets away with their prize money. The first is Duncan or Beth, who got away with their prize money in Total Drama Action (although Beth later used it to bail herself and Lindsay out of prison in one of the versions and it is suggested Duncan spent his on lawyers while battling Courtney). This happens again in All-Stars, where Mike or Zoey gets to keep the money, and in Pahkitew Island, where Shawn or Sky gets to keep the money in their respective endings.
In the United States, however, only four males have won Total Drama including Mike's ending, since Heather won World Tour.
This is the second time that a contestant is shown to need a robotic suit after being injured. The first is Alejandro at the end of "Hawaiian Punch."
Coincidentally, both were the antagonists of their respectiveseasons when they were placed in robotic suits.
When the "Chrisiseum" is first revealed, the tail wing of the Total Drama Jumbo Jet from the previous season can be seen bearing the main portrait of Chris's face.
Specifically, him building a power armor using spare parts is a reference to the first armor Tony Stark built.
Cameron kicking open his suitcase to reveal his suit is a reference to the iconic Iron Man suit up scene in Iron Man 2.
Two of the championship rings, specifically the second and third rings, worn by Lightning's father feature a design bearing resemblance to the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the trophy awarded to the winning team of the Super Bowl, the National Football League's championship game.
The rings' designs are based on the rings of the four Super Bowls won by the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 1970s; the first ring has the date 1974 inscribed on it, referencing the Steelers' first Super Bowl victory.
The "Chrisiseum" is a parody of the Colosseum in Rome, Italy.
The insignia of the Rebel Alliance from Star Wars can be seen on Cameron's formula for his robotic suit.
On the bottom of Cameron's formulas, Pac-Man can be seen chasing a ghost.
You can also see what appears to be the heads of Izzy and Owen near the middle of the formula as well.
Goofs
When Chris introduces the eliminated Mutant Maggots, Jo and Brick are sitting with them when they were switched and put on the Rats and Dakota and Scott were with the Rats even though they were later put on the Maggots.
However, Chris could've meant what teams they were originally on.
When the previously eliminated contestants laugh at Scott in response to Chris's remark, a harness from Truth or Laser Shark is seen on Mike.
In the same scene, Zoey's bracelets are absent.
When Cameron saved Anne Maria from Ezekiel, he threw the helmet Lightning had. But before Cameron stops Larry from eating Staci, Lightning is wearing his helmet when he says, "Quit being a hero and fight!"
After Cameron magnetizes Lightning's armor, Cameron's own armor too should be pulled towards Lightning as it is made from metal. Additionally, Lightning's necklace is seen being pulled away from his body.
In Cameron's ending, Lightning did not have a burnt skin, nor the other injuries on his face. But in his ending, those were all noticeable.
In Lightning's ending, as Chef takes the contestants away from Camp Wawakwa, we can see that there are two Lightnings (unless Lightning overstretched his leg to inhuman levels): one on the boat's floor with the broken leg and another is carrying the million standing between Dawn and Staci.
Dakota's legs stick out over her seat when in the peanut gallery, but when Chris introduces her, her legs are gone. They are back in the next scene.
